National Gallery of Ireland
In my opinion, one of the most interesting painters in the National Gallery of Ireland is Caravaggio. His work is renowned for its dramatic use of light and shadow, as well as its intense realism. His "The Taking of Christ" is one of the gallery’s most famous pieces and stands out for its emotional depth and masterful technique.
As for my favorite painting, I would say "The Virgin of the Rocks" by Leonardo da Vinci is an exceptional piece. The way da Vinci captures light, detail, and emotion in this work is breathtaking. The serene yet powerful depiction of the Virgin Mary and the infant Jesus, surrounded by rocky landscapes, is absolutely captivating.
